Everyone knows AJ Hawk and Aaron Rodgers are friends. Everyone also knows that Aaron Rodgers is a regular guest on The Pat McAfee Show, which Hawk co-hosts. On yesterday’s show, AJ Hawk made a hilarious announcement regarding Aaron Rodgers’ vaccine status:

Was AJ Hawk telling the truth, or just making a joke? In any case, it it is interesting to think about how much less dramatic last season would have been had Rodgers been vaccinated. Obviously, it is his choice to be vaccinated or not. However, his comment about being immunized and the fallout of his appearance on a podcast with Joe Rogan made him fodder for the news media and comedians alike.
Saturday Night Live made a parody video of a Rodgers’ interview concerning vaccines. Controversy surrounding his vaccination led many to believe his broken toe was actually “COVID toe.” This led to an awkward news conference in which Rodgers lifted his bare foot up to the camera to explain how the toe was broken. If it had been COVID toe, it would have been grossly discolored. His was not.
Regardless of whether or not Rodgers is vaccinated, one thing is certain. He is back with the Green Bay Packers for another season. He will not be joining the team until training camp, but Tom Clements does not see that as an issue. In fact, he is glad the young wide receivers will be able to work out some mistakes before going to work with Rodgers. It will certainly be an entertaining season. Hopefully without the vaccine drama this time.
