The Milwaukee Bucks dropped their fourth preseason game, this one to the Chicago Bulls, 127-104. None of the Bucks starters, including Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday, played in the matchup. Other players who sat out included Brook Lopez, George Hill, Bobby Portis, Grayson Allen, and Khris Middleton. Of course, Middleton will not be seeing the court for a while as he recovers from wrist surgery. In fact, the Bucks only played eight of the nine players who dressed for this game. Portis was the only one who dressed that did not play. It was a great opportunity for young players to showcase their skills and make a push for a roster spot. These three players did just that.
Jordan Nwora
Ever since he was drafted, Jordan Nwora has shown flashes that he can be a real threat in the NBA. He did so again when he was given the start against the Chicago Bulls. In 31 minutes, Nwora scored 25 points on 9/17 shooting. This included going 4/9 from behind the arc. He also had five rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a block.

With Khris Middleton out for a while while he recovers, Nwora will almost certainly get some real minutes early in the season. Hopefully he builds on this performance and becomes an important role player off the bench.
Marques Bolden
If Bucks fans have not heard of Marques Bolden before, they certainly know the name now after this game! Bolden lit up the floor, scoring 21 points on 9/11 shooting, including 3/4 from three. He also had five rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal.

Bolden played his college ball at Duke, where he averaged 3.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in three seasons. After going undrafted in 2019, Bolden signed an exhibition deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He spent most of the time with their G-League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge. Bolden did appear in seven games for the Cavs in two seasons with the organization, averaging 1.0 points and 1.6 rebounds in 4.6 minutes per game.
Last season, Bolden played for the Utah Jazz G-League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars. He averaged 12.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game in 31.7 minutes per game.
Bolden was waved by the Jazz in October of last year. The Bucks picked him up on September 20, just a few weeks ago.
Jevon Carter
There were a great deal of offseason moves that got Bucks fans excited, namely the re-signing of Bobby Portis to a four-year deal. However, one that many wanted was for the team to bring back backup point guard Jevon Carter. Carter was claimed by the Bucks two days after the Brooklyn Nets waived him back in February. Carter has almost always played well when given minutes, and he did so again against the Chicago Bulls. In this game, Carter scored 13 points on 3/9 shooting. Almost all of his shots came from beyond the arc, where he was 3/8. Carter was also 4/4 from the free throw line.

In addition to scoring, Carter added four rebounds and three assists. Of all the starters, he played the fewest minutes (21). This was due to roster hopefuls AJ Green, Luca Vildoza, and Lindell Wigginton getting minutes as well.
