There are some NFL rumors that are credible, and then there are those that are not. According to multiple sources, the Atlanta Falcons are trying very hard to trade for Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Are the Jordan Love Rumors Valid?
Despite the numerous accounts tweeting about the Jordan Love rumors, it is noteworthy that no reporters or insiders from major news networks are doing so. This leads the educated thinker to conclude that there is not very much credibility to the idea that the Atlanta Falcons are pursuing Jordan Love. Additionally, the Green Bay Packers have not made any comments about wanting to trade Love. If anything, they have committed to supporting his development on their team.
Why the Rumors in the First Place?
While there are many talented players in this year’s NFL Draft, the quarterback class lacks deep talent. In fact, many analysts believe that if Jordan Love were going to be drafted this year, he would be the first quarterback taken.

Compounding the possibility that a Falcons trade for Love COULD happen is the fact that Atlanta moved on from former MVP Matt Ryan. Ryan was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for a third round pick. Marcus Mariota is slated to be the Falcons’ starting quarterback this season.
Will the Green Bay Packers Trade Jordan Love?
Of course, there is a chance that the Green Bay Packers could trade Jordan Love. After all, Aaron Rodgers signed an extension worth $150 million this offseason. The contract will take him beyond Jordan Love’s rookie contract, even if the Packers pick up his fifth year option. Undoubtedly, the Packers will want to get something for their former first round pick. I’m just not so sure a trade to Atlanta before this year’s draft is the scenario in which it happens.
