A former Wisconsin Badgers quarterback is putting up some great numbers after his transfer from the Big Ten school to the Florida Gators in the SEC. Graham Mertz has led the Florida Gators to a 3-1 record, bringing them into the AP Top 25 heading into the win against the Charlotte 49ers on Saturday.
Mertz has been a big boost for the Florida Gators. His performance against the Charlotte 49ers has helped solidify that as the former Wisconsin Badgers QB threw for 259 yards and one touchdown in the 22-7 win. He’s moved into 9th in the SEC with 951 yards passing, and his 162.12 QB rating ranks 8th in the SEC through the first four games of the season.
