It was an exciting weekend in Milwaukee as the Brewers battled the Twins. Here is a complete recap of the series.
Brewers vs. Padres Game One:
Final Score: 7-3 Brewers
Brandon Woodruff took the mound for Milwaukee, pitted against San Diego’s Yu Darvish. Woodruff delivered an impressive performance, pitching six innings of just one-run ball and recording an impressive eleven strikeouts. In contrast, Darvish struggled, allowing five earned runs over four innings.
The Brewers’ offense found its spark with William Contreras, who drove in a run with a well-placed RBI single in the third inning. Following suit, Willy Adames also contributed with a single of his own. The third inning proved pivotal as Rowdy Tellez crushed a three-run home run, further bolstering Milwaukee’s lead.
Adding to their commanding lead, Carlos Santana took advantage of an error and crossed the plate in the seventh inning. Rowdy Tellez continued to shine, securing another run with an RBI single. With this dominant performance, Milwaukee clinched a decisive victory in the game.
Brewers vs. Padres Game Two:
Final Score: 5-4 Brewers
Taking the mound for Milwaukee, Freddy Peralta squared off against Pedro Avila. Peralta’s performance spanned 5.1 innings, allowing just two runs, while Avila managed 4.1 innings but surrendered five runs.
The Brewers’ offensive charge was ignited by Andruw Monasterio, who delivered an RBI single during the fifth inning and subsequently scored due to an error. Adding to the momentum, William Contreras stepped up with a two-run double in the same inning. Carlos Santana’s RBI double in the fifth inning provided the finishing touch to the scoring.
With these five hard-earned runs, the Brewers managed to slip past their opponents in a closely contested game two.
Brewers vs. Padres Game Three:
Final Score: 10-6 Brewers
Taking the mound for Milwaukee, Adrian Houser faced off against Michael Wacha. Unfortunately, Houser’s outing was cut short at just two innings due to an injury, during which he conceded four runs. Wacha, on the other hand, struggled as well, completing 5.1 innings and allowing four earned runs.
The Brewers’ offensive fire was kindled by William Contreras, who launched a solo home run in the opening inning. The momentum continued in the sixth inning with Rowdy Tellez’s two-run double, leveling the score at 4-4. Andruw Monasterio capitalized on a walk to cross the plate, and Sal Frelick extended the lead with a two-run double. Mark Canha chimed in with a two-run single to cap off the inning’s scoring.
William Contreras kept the runs coming with an RBI double in the seventh inning. With this potent offensive display, Milwaukee completed another series sweep, underscoring their dominance on the field.
