The Packers are gearing up for their matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. It is essentially a must-win for the Packers. However, it is not like the Vikings have nothing to play for. They still have not locked up the 2 seed and they have an outside shot at the 1 seed. In a recent interview, Vikings CB Patrick Peterson had some high praise for Lambeau Field calling it the “Holy Grail” of stadiums.
Vikings CB Patrick Peterson called Lambeau Field the “Holy Grail” of stadiums but that it would be extra good to not only win but to eliminate the Packers from the playoff race.

Patrick Peterson Calls Lambeau Field the “Holy Grail”
There is no denying that Lambeau Field is a special place. It is one of the last stadiums not to be named after a corporate sponsor. Pair that with the history surrounding the place and it is no wonder Patrick Peterson is calling it the “Holy Grail”. Head coach Matt LaFleur is hoping that being at home can help the Packers in their final two games. He recently called on fans to be as loud as possible for the last two games. Hopefully, being at home will help the Packers win the final two games and give them a shot at the playoffs.
More Of Peterson’s Comments
Peterson didn’t just spend his interview praising the Packers’ stadium. He recognized that because of the aura around the stadium, it would be extra sweet if the Vikings were to beat and eliminate the Packers on Sunday. This is something that Packers fans can understand. Nine years ago, the Packers were playing the Bears in Chicago with a playoff spot on the line. They won on the Randall Cobb touchdown and ripped the hearts out of all Bears fans. Patrick Peterson is hoping for a similar outcome on Sunday.
It is great to hear other NFL players like Patrick Peterson understand the significance of Lambeau. Hopefully, the home-field advantage plus a roster that is playing well can propel the Packers to victory and keep their playoff hopes alive.
