Matt LaFleur provides injury updates Thursday
The Green Bay Packers have won three straight contests to stay in the playoff chase. They haven’t come out of December unscathed. The Packers had four players go down against the Miami Dolphins. Christian Watson and Keisean Nixon are two players the team will want healthy before they play their next two must-win games. Head coach Matt LaFleur provided an update on their practice status.
Watson has been must-watch television since his three-touchdown performances Dallas Cowboys. Nixon has been the perfect replacement as a special teams returner for recently waived Amari Rodgers. But they were both banged up in the Packers’ win on Christmas. They missed Wednesday’s practice.
According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, LaFleur said on Thursday Watson and Nixon would be back at practice. But they would be limited participants.
Keisean Nixon will return to practice today, LaFleur said. He’ll be limited. So both Christian Watson and Nixon back after missing yesterday.

It looks hopeful they will play against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday. The Packers are expected to have Left tackle David Bakhtiari back for the first time since Week 12. If the Packers can be at full strength on New Year’s Day, they should be able to find a way to stave off playoff elimination until at least Week 18, when they finish the regular season against the Detroit Lions.
