Three Milwaukee Brewers players have been nominated for Rawlings Gold Glove awards for their defensive efforts during the 2024 season. Second baseman Brice Turang, center fielder Blake Perkins, and right fielder Sal Frelick are all finalists. Winners will be announced on Sunday, November 3.
Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang is a 2024 Rawlings Gold Glove award finalist
During the 2024 season Brice Turang was excellent at second base. He led Major League Baseball in the advanced defensive metric DRS (defensive runs saved) with 21. The next closest National League player in DRS was Ketel Marte with 10. Turang also was tied for fifth in another advanced defensive metric titled OAA (outs above average). Lastly, he committed just seven errors. Ketel Marte of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Bryson Stott of the Philadelphia Phillies are the other finalists.

Alongside Jacob Young of the Washington Nationals and Brenton Doyle of the Colorado Rockies, Blake Perkins is a finalist for Gold Glove in 2024. Perkins finished lower in DRS (eight) and OAA (11) than both Young and Doyle.
Milwaukee Brewers right fielder Sal Frelick is a 2024 Rawlings Gold Glove award finalist
Right fielder Sal Frelick is in the running for a Gold Glove award. He is competing against Mike Yastrzemski of the San Francisco Giants and Jake McCarthy of the Arizona Diamondbacks. With a 700 inning qualifier for innings played in right field Frelick led the National League in DRS with 16 and he was tied with teammate Jackson Chourio in OAA with seven.
