Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love put up a great performance in week 1 against the Chicago Bears. He completed 15 of 27 of his passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns. This kind of performance should interest fantasy owners. If your fantasy QB did not perform well in week 1, Love is a possible security blanket you could pick up. He is likely available in most leagues.

Jordan Love has a Great Offense Built Around Him
This performance in week 1 came without Packers receiver Christian Watson. Once Watson is back into the lineup, he will bring a level of big-play ability to this Packers offense. In some leagues, bonus points are rewarded for 40-plus or 50-plus touchdowns. After seeing what Watson started to do during the season last year, we could see Watson turn into a full-time big-play star, which would make Jordan Love even better from a fantasy standpoint.

Christian Watson is not the only weapon Love has. During their win against Chicago, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones showed he is still going to be a big-time playmaker. His catching ability out of the backfield makes him so useful for Jordan Love. This was shown when Jones took it to the house on a big 4th downplay.

Romeo Doubs has also shown a lot of potential in Week 1 after catching 2 TDs on 4 receptions. Doubs may not be an elite type of receiver, but will start to get favorable matchups once Watson is back. This gives Jordan Love yet another option to work with.

Jordan Love could Replace some struggling Fantasy QBs
Fantasy players who have Quarterbacks such as Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow might look to add Jordan Love just to be safe. Justin Fields also had a shaky performance that could leave owners a little nervous. This does not mean Jordan Love is better than them, but with the right match-up, Love could be an option.

If Aaron Rodgers was on your team as a backup, then Jordan Love would be an acceptable swap-out to give you some security in the position. Other injuries can happen as well. Having a rushing fantasy QB like Justin Fields or Lamar Jackson comes with a major risk. Adding a pocket passer like Love with a possible rushing upside would be a smart move.

Jordan Love has some Favorable Matchups this Season
According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Green Bay Packers have the 11th easiest schedule in the NFL. This means Jordan Love should have the opportunity for some high-scoring games. It also helps that he gets to play the Bears’ defense again, which looked very rough in Week 1. The Minnesota Vikings were also very giving to fantasy QBs last year with one of the worst defenses in the NFL, which Jordan Love gets to play twice this season.
Jordan Love is not an every-week fantasy starter as of now. But as the season goes on and Love gets more comfortable as a starter, he could turn into an elite fantasy player. A lot of rushing yards is not required to produce great fantasy performances. Jordan Love is poised to have a good amount of passing touchdowns this year, and a consistent thrower who gets a lot of yards each week will make him a valuable asset to keep on your roster.
