NFL: Former Green Bay Packers and current New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest throwers of the football that the league has ever seen. Indeed, it is impossible to say that any part of his game is underrated, given how closely analyzed his play has been throughout the course of his career.
That being said, one competitive part of his game that largely goes overlooked is his trash talking. Of course, he has had several moments go viral, like when he screamed “I still own you” to Chicago Bears fans after rushing for a touchdown in 2021.
Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ Trash Talk Goes Viral After New York Jets Game vs New York Giants (NFL)

The saga that saw Rodgers and several other former Packers players (including Allen Lazard) see their careers converge again with the Jets is well-known. Many things seem different about Rodgers’ demeanor now that he is in New York, including the way he treats his teammates, participation in offseason activities, and willingness to play in a preseason game.
His trash talking brutality, though, has not changed.
The Jets finished up their preseason with a game against the Giants, and Rodgers made his debut with the team after sitting out the first two games. During the course of the game, Giants veteran linebacker Jihad Ward shoved Rodgers a few times after the ball was thrown.
In response, Rodgers yelled:
“Show some respect… I don’t even know who you are!”

Make no mistake; it was just talk. Last season, when Rodgers and the Packers played the Giants in London, Ward had three total pressures on Rodgers and two knockdowns.
Rodgers knows who he is, though to be fair, that was the first time in their careers that they had ever crossed paths. Maybe the Rodgers chose to forget the terrible loss in London (and who can blame him?). Now that Rodgers lives in the New York, perhaps they’ll break bread sometime.
