Green Bay Packers wide receivers Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson missed practice Wednesday due to injury. The nature of the injuries was not revealed until the Packers released the Week 1 injury report Wednesday afternoon.

    Packers News

The Packers need both wide receivers healthy ahead of their Week 1 game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Without Doubs and Watson, quarterback Jordan Love is looking at a bunch of rookie targets to throw to in Chicago.

The Green Bay Packers have Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, DNP

According to a statement by the Packers, Doubs and Watson have hamstring injuries. A third wide receiver, Dontayvion Wicks, was limited Wednesday with a hamstring injury. Here is the injury report, per the Packers:

David Bakhtiari, T NIR – Vet Rest / Knee DNP
    Romeo Doubs, WR Hamstring DNP
    Rashan Gary, LB Knee LP
Anthony Johnson Jr., S Knee FP
    Christian Watson, WR Hamstring DNP
    Dontayvion Wicks, WR Hamstring LP

The Bears had one player, linebacker Dylan Cole, miss practice Wednesday. The Bears had three starters on defense: defensive end DeMarcus Walker, safety Jaquan Brisker, and safety Eddie Jackson limited in practice with injury.

    Game-time decision at wide receiver

According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, head coach Matt LaFleur offered an update on Watson’s and Doubs’ availability for Sunday’s game. LaFleur indicated it would be a game-time decision.

“We’ll give ‘em the whole week, and we’ll see where they’re at,” LaFleur said.

So, I’d expect Doubs and Watson not to practice on Thursday or Friday.
