The Green Bay Packers offense had an excellent finish to their day Thursday–at least on the second team with rookie quarterback Sean Clifford leading the way. The Packers’ offense started training camp, having to do push-ups as punishment after losing their competitive period to the defense. That trend continued into this week.
The Packers’ offense lost five straight competitive periods to the defense before Thursday’s practice. Love said he was frustrated by losing to the defense after Tuesday’s practice. The Packers didn’t have practice Wednesday but returned to the field Thursday.
Sean Clifford saves the day for the Green Bay Packers offense
Things changed in the offense’s favor. Love and the offense weren’t perfect per multiple reports, but they had a much better day in drills. According to Andy Herman, Love couldn’t help the offense convert their two-minute drill, but Clifford saved the day for the second team.

According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, The Packers’ defense had to do up-downs after practice as punishment after losing the competition period.

The Packers first-string team still needs to get better finishing practices. While it’s in an encouraging sign for the Packers to see Clifford leading the second-unit team, Love needs to finish a two-minute drill leading the offense into the end zone.
I’m sure Love will still be frustrated with teh result of the drill, even if the defense had to do up-downs at the end of the day.
