The Green Bay Packers are practicing in pads for the first time in training camp today. This is where the proverbial gloves come off and players start to play some real football. It is where plays become more meaningful and players can start to separate and prove themselves in front of coaches, front office personnel, fans, and media.
Jordan Love received more than his fair share of criticism over the first three days of training camp. However, he had a great day on Saturday and many Packers media called it his best day of practice ever. Love built off of this success during practice on Monday with a throw that, hopefully, will become commonplace in 2023.
Jordan Love and Christian Watson Connect for Long Touchdown at Green Bay Packers Training Camp
While filming 11-on-11’s is not allowed by the Packers, one fan was able to capture the following video of Love connecting with Watson on a 67-yard touchdown pass:

As seen in the video, Watson was heavily covered, but Love dropped the pass into his breadbasket perfectly, where only he could catch it. Watson’s speed and momentum allowed him to then take the pass the rest of the way for a long touchdown.
If this is the kind of big plays Packers fans can expect to see from Love and Watson this year, 2023 will be a very fun season.
