Green Bay Packers fans have long been considered to be some of the most faithful fans in all of sports. However, according to NFL analysts Chris Simms and Mike Florio, Packers fans are also the most welcoming in the NFL. Apparently, even Florio (a known Packers-hater and huge Vikings fan) considers the fans in Green Bay to be the cream of the crop.
And they aren’t the only ones. Former Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert and current running back AJ Dillon voiced their agreement on Twitter.
Kurt Benkert and AJ Dillon Call Green Bay Packers Fans the Most Welcoming in the NFL
Benkert, of course, spent just one season in Green Bay, but his social media presence and engagement with fans on that platform made him an instant fan-favorite. It is not a stretch to say he is the most popular practice squad player in team history.
One of the reasons Benkert was so engaging with fans is because they engaged with him in a positive manner. He tweeted about even scoring a sponsorship with Kwik Trip due to the fans:
This is true. They are the reason why I memed my way into a sponsorship with a gas station during the season.
Unrivaled. https://t.co/OT150NI4kt

AJ Dillon posted an agreement as well. He has gone so far as to say that he gets DM’s (direct messages) on social media from opposing fans telling him how welcoming and nice Packers fans are at Lambeau Field:
A fact… and if you haven’t been the Lambeau then you don’t get it! I’ve gotten Dms from rival fans saying they loved it, you don’t get that every day! https://t.co/Fyu1xEHBX0

While not everyone in the fanbase is perfect, it is nice to see that Packers fans are making a good impression on the rest of the league for the most part. This is a good reminder that the things fans say and do make a difference, and things should not be said (or typed on social media) that would give the rest of the fanbase a bad name.
