The Green Bay Packers drafted quarterback Sean Clifford in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He is competing for the backup role behind Jordan Love, a role that Love held for two years behind Aaron Rodgers (Love was on the practice squad during his rookie season).
Shortly after arriving in Green Bay, Clifford was given Rodgers’ old locker, something that has been made note of several times. He also appeared in a Fanatics hype video in which Rodgers shares a pre-recorded message with Clifford. The premise of the video is that several NFL rookies were surprised with a video message and gift from their favorite player growing up.
It just so happens Rodgers was Clifford’s favorite player.

In the video, the jerseys that the rookies got were folded nicely in a box under the bench they were sitting on. Someone, whether it was Fanatics or Rodgers or someone else, had the jersey framed and delivered to Clifford’s new home in Green Bay:

The inscription says, “Welcome to Green Bay! Enjoy the city and enjoy my locker!”
Say what you will about Rodgers and they way things ended between himself and the organization, that was a really cool gesture.
