Aaron Rodgers was not well-loved by his division rivals when he played for the Green Bay Packers. While there was [almost] always a level of professional respect, Rodgers’ dominance of the NFC North did not endear him to the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, and Detroit Lions.
Now that Rodgers plays for the New York Jets, he has a whole new set of division rivals in the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots. And one of their quarterbacks, Josh Allen of the Bills, is already “unhappy” with him.
Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen Accuses Aaron Rodgers of Cheating at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am
Earlier today, Bills quarterback Josh Allen appeared on the podcast “Pardon My Take.” During his interview, he was asked about comments he made regarding Rodgers after the four-time MVP and his partner, Ben Silverman, won the event by one stroke.
At the time, Allen was asked if the win needed an asterisk. “100%,” he replied. “It’s only three rounds and a 2.6 handicap got 10 shots? Come on now. I don’t know. I’m not the person to ask that question. But it is what it is.”
Today, Allen was a bit more light-hearted about the situation, but did not back down from his accusation:

“Yeah, he cheated. I love Aaron, but he did. [He didn’t just sandbag] me, the world. “He may have gotten seven or eight strokes too many at Pebble Beach. Or nine. Not from me. That’s what other sources are saying. I’m not saying that.
“I would say a lot of the golfers maybe felt that way too.”
This will certainly make the [at least] two matchups between the Bills and Jets a bit more interesting this year.
In the grand scheme of things, one has to wonder how much the accusation really matters. On the one hand, serious golfers will find it disturbing while casual fans may not care very much.
All the same, it is quite the interesting accusation towards a guy who takes so much pride in his golf game.
