Aaron Rodgers and former Green Bay Packers teammate David Bakhtiari had a cheeky back-and-forth discussion on social media that ended in a low blow at the offensive lineman’s weight.

Rodgers and Bakhtiari are friends and often have public exchanges on social media. Their friendship appears to have continued despite the distance between Rodgers with the New York Jets and Bakhtiari still with the Packers.

NFL News: Aaron Rodgers mocks David Bakhtiari’s frame

Could Bakhtiari earn his third first-team All-Pro?
Packers tackle David Bakhtiari smiles at fans during Packers Family Night on Aug. 5, 2022, at Lambeau Field.

On Thursday, Rodgers posted a picture of him and a bunch of people at a Proactive Sports Performance gym. (The same gym he was spotted at with Kevin Durant a couple of weeks ago.) Via Instagram, Rodgers asked Bakhtiari where he was at.

Bakhtiari piped back that he was “too busy training and not posing for a photo” via his Instagram account.

Rodgers then swung the hammer. “Probably laying around getting fat,” Rodgers wrote.

Rodgers probably meant that to be funny, but we’ll see if six-foot-four, 310-pound Bakhtiari has a response. Some linemen don’t like their weight being made fun of. And Rodgers probably doesn’t want to play behind a thin offensive line.

Rodgers could use Bakhtiari’s bulk on the Jets’ offensive line this season via another trade with the Packers. The Jets’ light offensive line is considered a weight that could bring the offense down this season.

    Wouldn’t that be karma?

Curious about the latest banter between Aaron Rodgers and David Bakhtiari? Rodgers humorously called out Bakhtiari’s fitness regime in a recent social media exchange. Discover more about this friendly jest and its implications in our latest on Aaron Rodgers News and Green Bay Packers Rumors.
