Going into the 2023 NFL Preseason, there were not many believers in Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love. Colin Cowherd has insinuated the Love is so untalented, that he should just give up the game of football. Peter King said that he thinks Love’s first season will be shaky.
To his credit, Love has handled the criticism the same way he handled it ever since the day the Packers drafted him: by keeping his head down and doing the work. That work has been paying off. In two preseason games, he has been impressive, completing 12 of 18 passes for 130 yards, two touchdowns, and a quarterback rating of 124.7.
As a result, the narrative surrounding him is starting to change. National sports talk personalities are starting to praise Love rather than spouting doom and gloom. Rich Eisen was one of the first to do so on Monday.
Rich Eisen Says Green Bay Packers Fans Should Be Jacked about Jordan Love

During his show on Monday, Eisen was visibly giddy when he said the following about Love:
“I can feel it. I’m going to say this now. Everybody should be ready for Jordan Love to be really good. I think everybody should be preparing for it.”
His co-host then said: “You know who he looked like over the weekend? He looks like Aaron Rodgers!”
Eisen then said,
“Look, I know you can’t buy too much into preseason games, but that’s two for two. And the Bengals, before playing him, in their scrimmage against him came away saying, ‘Okay. We see him. He’s really good. He’s really good.”
“But Packers fans, you should be really jacked.”

It is nice to see the national media coming around to the things that most Packers fans and content creators have been saying all offseason. Sure, he has yet to prove how good he is throughout an entire regular season. But the potential that he has is immense.
The Packers drafted him, specifically him, in 2020 for a reason. They chose him as the heir to Aaron Rodgers, who was the heir to Brett Favre. It was not a selection they made lightly. They did their research and knew what he needed to help him be ready for his moment.
Now, his moment is hear and he is ready. And he looks really good!
