The Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Jordan Love has proven to be everything the team could have hoped for and more since he was drafted. Many scoffed at and mocked the Packers for their trading up and taking Love with the 26th pick the 2020 NFL Draft. However, three years later and with 16 starts under his belt, Love is looking like the Packers made the right decision and is now the franchise quarterback, replacing future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Rodgers.
This is further demonstrated by the fact that Love is the sixth-fastest quarterback to reach 30 passing touchdowns. He did so in just 591 passing attempts, completing 371 of those passes over his career so far with 4,193 passing yards to go along with it.
“I think I’ve been really impressed with how he’s handled himself,” says Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur. “It dates back to even last preseason. I know we didn’t always have the results, and I sat up here and defended him pretty hard in terms of some of the play, but it’s about the process, and it’s about all the little things that goes into that position: The command that you have in the huddle, the total command of the offense, the operation.” (Demovsky, ESPN)
Many analysts and overall fans of the game don’t have Love rated highly. Even today, some pundits continue to question whether Love can be a franchise quarterback. Since Aaron Rodgers departure, Love has won over the locker room. This is especially true of receivers who were afraid of making mistakes in front of Rodgers.
With a few more additions, Jordan Love could have the Green Bay Packers fighting the Lions routinely for the NFC North title.
When the Packers decided to move on from Aaron Rodgers, Love had already been learning behind him for two years. When it came time for him to take the reins, he already knew what needed to be changed and what needed to be kept in order to be successful.
While the Lions may have won this season’s NFC North title, the Packers future is still very bright. Aaron Rodgers failed to get familiar with the team’s wide receivers and they, in return, were fearful of their old quarterback. With Love at the helm, there has been a different level of respect and the receivers has repaid that with fun, entertaining offense for the team and fans alike.
With two weeks to go, the Packers will need a little help getting into the playoffs. Firstly, in Week 17, they will need the loser of New Orleans at Tampa Bay to then lose in Week 18. They also need losses from the Seahawks and Falcons while simultaneously winning both their games at the Vikings and at home against the Bears.
While they are not in a very good position to make it, there is a path for Green Bay and there is a little glimmer of hope that Packers fans can still hold onto for a little while longer.

It isn’t hard to see how Packer Nation has now fallen in love with the quarterback from Utah State. Most fan bases pray for their quarterback to have numbers like these. With this being only year three, the Packers will quite happy for the next 10-15 years with Love leading the team.
As Jordan Love builds more chemistry with his teammates, the offense will become more and more fluid, making it easy for all members involved, returning the Packers to the dominance of the past.
