Several Green Bay Packers players are battling injuries in the middle of training camp. A starting defender joined the did not practice ranks Wednesday for the team’s joint practice with the New England Patriots.
Wide receiver Bo Melton also missed practice with a hamstring injury. Fortunately for the Packers, they still have nearly a month before the regular season starts to get healthy.

It was not immediately clear how severe Campbell’s injury is. Campbell battled a shoulder injury towards the end of last season. According to Michael David Smith with NBC Sports, Campbell said he was feeling 100 percent this summer:
“I was just hitting my stride this game starting to feel like myself after dealing with a nagging shoulder that I never told anyone about and then I injured my knee the next game in Buffalo . I never question Gods plan but I’m feeling 100% healthy and everyone gotta deal with me,” Campbell said.
After the knee injury in Buffalo, Campbell missed four games, and it slowed him late in the year. He believes he can prove what kind of player he is with a healthy 2023.
“I’m at my best when the world is against me I love pressure. My whole football career has been built off pressure this ain’t nothing new to me,” Campbell wrote.
Campbell will be expected to have a strong season for the Packers’ defense in 2023. The team should exercise caution with Campbell this week against the Patriots. There’s no reason to lose a veteran like Campbell for a preseason game.
