NFL: Dalvin Cook is certainly one of the most sought-after free agents during the 2023 off-season. The Minnesota Vikings released the 27-year-old in early June after failing to find a trade partner. Cook has been scheduled to make $10.4 million in base salary this upcoming season. Cook has understandably drawn a lot of attention from teams throughout the league, however, one team won’t be signing him. At least not right now.
Dalvin Cook Reportedly Turns Down Contract Offer From The Miami Dolphins
A recent report from ESPN’s NFL Live Indicated that the four-time Pro Bowler is still considering his options before determining his new football home for 2023. Cook – the brother of Buffalo running back James – is seemingly not getting the $10 million APY deal that would match what he was to earn before Minnesota cut him. The Miami Dolphins have a contract offer on the table for him, however, it is “not one he is willing to accept.”
The Miami Dolphins have been long considered the top contender for Dalvin Cook. They have been actively seeking to bolster their offensive line. As a Miami native, Cook may still want to return home, adding value to a backfield currently led by Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr., and rookie De’Von Achane. However, the Dolphins will have to up their offer for his services.
