NFL: Allen Lazard has officially signed with the New York Jets for the 2023 season. In fact, he will be under contract through the 2026 season. He signed a massive four-year $44 million contract this off-season. It is no secret that Aaron Rodgers joining the Jets played a role in Lazard’s signing with the Jets, even if it did come well after the fact. However, there is one major drawback for Allen Lazard in signing with the New York Jets.
Allen Lazard Discloses One Major Regret In Signing With The New York Jets (NFL)

Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports Tweeted:
Allen Lazard was asked biggest positive, negative of signing with Jets.
“Biggest positive: Aaron Rodgers,” says Lazard, who’s entering 6th pro year with same QB, language, system.
“Biggest negative? Taxes.”
New York has the highest tax burden of any state in America, while Wisconsin’s tax burden is around the middle of the list. Allen Lazad spent five years in Green Bay, however, only four of which saw actual playing time (his rookie year he only had one target). During the four years Allen Lazard saw real playing time he accumulated 2,229 receiving yards, 20 touchdowns, and 168 receptions. Lazard also established himself as one of the best blocking wide receivers in the NFL during that time. The Jets hope to get even better production out of him during his time in New York.
