NFC North Odds: Where the Packers Stand Heading Into 2023

The national media seems to have this obsession with the Green Bay Packers potentially being bad this season now that quarterback Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets. Jordan Love will be their starting quarterback, and a lot of analysts think he will be the reason why Green Bay isn’t any good.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Green Bay Packers have the third-best NFC North odds to win the division this season at +350.

Is it worth the bet, and better yet, what are the other odds for those teams in the division?

NFC North Odds: Where the Packers Stand Heading Into 2023

    Detroit Lions (+145)

The Detroit Lions have the best NFC North odds this season. A lot of people are making this bet and believe the hype of the Lions. The defense was one of the worst in football a season ago and almost made the playoffs at 9-8.

They swept the Green Bay Packers last season, and it appears as if Detroit has arrived. Jared Goff is their starting quarterback, and Dan Campbell is entering his third season as head coach. The Detroit Lions can very well win 10 games this season, but the one thing is that they are still the Lions, after all.

    Minnesota Vikings (+270)

The Minnesota Vikings have the second-best NFC North odds this season. Minnesota won the division last season with a 13-4 record before flaming out to the New York Giants in the NFC Wild Card Round. The Vikings’ offense is loaded with Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson, and they split with the Green Bay Packers last season.

However, the Minnesota Vikings’ defense didn’t improve at all this offseason other than making Brian Flores their new defensive coordinator. Minnesota also won several one-possession games last season and will take a step backward this upcoming NFL season.

    Green Bay Packers (+350)

With the Green Bay Packers having the third-best NFC North odds this season, they have an interesting case ahead of the other two teams. Green Bay has a much better defense than either Detroit or Minnesota. The Packers have a veteran football team who has experience.

They just won the division two years ago. Some people within the organization believe that quarterback Jordan Love can take that next step and be just fine without Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon are the best running back tandem within the division. If you believe in Jordan Love, they are worth the bet.

    Chicago Bears (+420)

The Chicago Bears have the worst NFC North odds this season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Chicago has a lot of questions that they need to answer. Will Justin Fields take a step forward in year three, or will they move off of him after this season? The offensive line needs to be better and the defense has to play better.

They open up with the Green Bay Packers in Week 1. Their owner, Aaron Rodgers, is gone, but if Jordan Love owns them and beats them in Week 1, it will be another long season in Chicago land.

    NFC North Odds Verdict

Stay far away from betting on the Chicago Bears and bet on the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings at your own risk.
