You could say that the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Clippers are in entirely different stages in their respective quests for an NBA title. The Knicks are finally coming off a very promising season with new star Jalen Brunson at the helm, while for their part, the Clippers are in a bit of limbo with a lot of question marks surrounding their superstar duo of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.
Would both teams be willing to shake things up by potentially agreeing on a blockbuster trade?
New York Knicks Pair Jalen Brunson With Paul George

Lee Tran of Fadeaway World believes that swapping stars could be beneficial for both teams. Here’s his proposed trade scenario:
New York Knicks Receive: Paul George, Amir Coffey
Los Angeles Clippers Receive: Julius Randle, Evan Fournier
Jalen Brunson was excellent for the Knicks in his debut season but he has yet to prove that he can carry New York to the NBA Finals as the No. 1 option. Paul George, on the other hand, is a bona fide superstar who has a ton of experience under his belt. Together, they could take the Knicks to new heights.
“Even though Paul George has been a No. 2 option for the Los Angeles Clippers, it is clear that he could end up being the No. 1 option for the New York Knicks from a scoring standpoint. Paul George is a shot-creating forward that can score on all three levels, and his skill set is exactly what the New York Knicks are missing right now. Last season, Paul George averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game for the Los Angeles Clippers,” Tran wrote.
The Knicks will also still have the likes of RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, making them a real threat in the East if they go and trade for Paul George.
Los Angeles Clippers Move on From Paul George

At this point, it appears that the Clippers will need to choose between Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. In this scenario, they move on from the former and pick Kawhi as their cornerstone superstar for the future (they will obviously need to sign him to a new deal).
Randle has shined in his time with the Knicks, but he’s had issues with consistency — especially in the postseason. Playing behind Kawhi Leonard could be the perfect opportunity for him to really thrive as a secondary option. He’s suited up for both the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks, so you know that this man is more than capable of playing under the bright lights, which is something he will need to do again if he ends up with the Clippers.
