James Harden has been proposed in many trades this NBA offseason. He really does not want to play for the Philadelphia 76ers for the 2023-2024 season and will see what President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey decides to do. Fadewayworld.net proposed a trade package between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Orlando Magic.
In this proposed trade, Orlando would acquire James Harden and Philadelphia would acquire Gary Harris, Markelle Fultz, and Cole Anthony. This would be a very good trade for both parties.
Fadeawayworld.net reasoning about this trade is as follows:
“Trading for James Harden would likely be a temporary solution, given that he is unlikely to sign a contract extension with the franchise.”
They also said in that article:
“In this scenario, the Philadelphia 76ers would get three players that could contribue immediately.”
A season ago, averaged 21.0 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 10.7 APG, and 1.2 SPG. This would be a solid household name for the Orland Magic to acquire because it would help them sell tickets. They have not been in the NBA playoffs in quite some time, but they will need to turn the corner sooner rather than later.
However, the thought of a duo of James Harden and Paolo Banchero for one season would be interesting. Banchero is a rising star in this league and could be one of the best players in the league in a couple of seasons from now.
James Harden Being Traded From the Philadelphia 76ers Would Be a Good Thing
Harden being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers would be a good thing for the franchise because the distractions would be gone and it would be a shakeup across the NBA. As for the players Philadelphia would get in this proposed trade, Markelle Fultz was the number one overall pick by the 76ers in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Last season with the Orlando Magic, he averaged 14.0 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 5.7 APG, and 1.5 SPG. Fultz going back to Philadelphia where his NBA career began would be very interesting. He also shot 51.4% from the field a season ago with Orlando.
Gary Harris last season with Orlando averaged 8.3 PPG, 2.0 RPG, 1.2 APG, and shot 45.0% from the field.
Cole Anthony last season with the Magic played in 60 games and averaged 13.0 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 3.9 APG. He also shot 36.4% from three-point land, shot 45.4% from the field, and also shot 89.4% from the free-throw line.
In this trade, the Philadelphia 76ers would get younger and deeper on the bench. Markelle Fultz or Cole Anthony would start at point guard alongside Tyrese Maxey. Joel Embiid is the best player on this basketball team. This is a trade that would catch a lot of people’s attention across the league also.
