Michael Jordan is in some sort of weirdly extended love triangle with former Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen. MJ’s son, Marcus, is currently dating Scottie’s ex-wife, Larsa Pippen. Marcus and Larsa have been together for quite a while now and it seems that they’re pretty serious. At this point, it’s probably safe to say that it’s not your ordinary short-term fling.
Michael Jordan Does Not Approve Of Son Dating Larsa Pippen

MJ has not spoken publicly about his son’s relationship. However, given that it does involve his 32-year-old son dating his former teammate’s 48-year-old ex-wife, it comes as no surprise that this union has been mired with controversy.
MJ was recently ambushed by reporters and asked if he approves of the relationship. Surprisingly, the six-time NBA champ indulged the press by responding to the loaded query:

MJ did not provide any explanation as to why he disapproves of the relationship. In fact, he just answered the question in passing as he was getting inside his car. Nevertheless, it is now abundantly clear how he feels about Marcus’ rather bizarre choice of women.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Uses Michael Jordan As Barometer Of Success

Stepping out of the enthralling world of sports gossip for a bit, you might remember the time when Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo once referenced the great Michael Jordan in a lengthy rant against a reporter. This went down shortly after the Bucks were so disappointingly eliminated by the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs this past season.
Giannis did not like the way he was asked if he thought the season was a “failure” for his team, and he went on an extended tirade to shut the question down. At one point, Antetokounmpo even used MJ in his argument:
“Michael Jordan played 15 years, won six championships,” Giannis said. “The other nine years was a failure? That’s what you’re telling me?”
“… There’s no failure in sports. You know, there’s good days, bad days; some days you are able to be successful, some days you’re not. Some days it’s your turn, some days it’s not your turn. And that’s what sports is about. You don’t always win. Some other people is going to win. And this year, somebody else is going to win. Simple as that.”
Unlike how MJ handled the recent Marcus-Larsa query, Giannis took a different approach when addressing the “failure” question from the reporter. The Bucks talisman answered it head-on as he made it clear that he just couldn’t let that type of questioning pass. Maybe next time reporters will think twice when they ask Antetokounmpo for his definition of failure.
