NBA news: In his own right, Kyrie Irving is a trailblazer that has had an immense impact on the game as we know it — both on and off the court. However, even the Dallas Mavericks superstar himself concedes that there’s one particular player who truly revolutionized the game of basketball through the years. In Kyrie’s mind, that man is Russell Westbrook.
NBA News: Kyrie Irving Heaps NSFW Praise on Russell Westbrook
Irving recently caught wind of a post on Instagram asking if Westbrook, who now plies his trade with the Los Angeles Clippers, should be considered “Top 10 All Time.” Irving responded emphatically with some NSFW praise for the former NBA MVP:
“Let’s not pretend this Dude right here didn’t revolutionize the Game and inspire all of us to do things YOUR way and say f**k em ALL,” Irving wrote.

Given all that he’s done throughout his career, it’s hard to argue that Russell Westbrook has not revolutionized the game in one way or another. After all, the nine-time All-Star averaged a triple-double for four seasons. This used to be an unimaginable feat, but Russ made it a natural occurrence for him. A clear testament to this fact is how the two-time NBA scoring champ holds the record for the most triple-doubles in the history of the league.
Kyrie Irving knows that we should give credit where it is due.

Speaking of former NBA MVPs who have influenced the game significantly, let’s also not forget about Giannis Antetokounmpo. While he does not have too many similarities with Russell Westbrook, there’s also no denying that the Milwaukee Bucks superstar has revolutionized the game in his own right. We’ve probably never seen Giannis’ elite combination of size, strength, skill, and willpower, and in truth, it won’t be surprising if we don’t see this again in the future.
