How about this for a bold move– a trade between the Milwaukee Bucks and Central Division rivals, the Chicago Bulls?
And here’s an even bolder move– make that trade featuring Jrue Holiday.
Okay, hold on before dismissing this idea outright. Holiday is coming off an All-Star season, playing for a team whose first round elimination in the playoffs demands a shake-up. At 32, the talented point guard is a well-rounded player with plenty left in the tank and good potential trade value. On a team where nobody is an untouchable (except for Giannis Antetokounmpo), it would make sense to explore what kind of return Holiday would bring.
A recent trade proposal dreamed up by Jack Simone of FanSided conjures up a scenario where the Bucks and the Bulls work out a deal that would be mutually beneficial.
In this trade, the Bulls get Jrue Holiday and Grayson Allen while the Bucks get Zach LaVine in return.
Adding LaVine would help the Bucks’ offense by bringing in a legitimate shot-creator and a reliable scorer. The Bulls shooting guard is an adept scorer and an excellent long-range shooter, averaging 24.5 points per game while shooting 38.4 percent from deep with nearly 6 attempts per game. Someone with LaVine’s talents and abilities could provide a major boost to Milwaukee’s offense, something which could aid them immensely in the playoffs.
The mega-athletic 27-year-old LaVine would help the Bucks improve their overall level of athleticism and would bring youth and energy to a team that needs a boost in both. And seeing that LaVine is under contract, with a player option in 2026-2027, there’ll be more security than with Holiday, who is possibly two years away from retirement.
However, there are down sides to adding LaVine via trade. Team defense will take a hit with the absence of the quality defender Holiday. Injury is also a concern with LaVine as he’s played more than 70 games in a single season just three times in his eight-year NBA career.
On the Bulls’ side, with the oft-injured Lonzo Ball’s career in serious doubt, Chicago finds themselves in desperate need of a new lead guard. Trading LaVine would not be a popular move from the front office, but it would bring the team a verified All-Star in Holiday, as well as solid shooter in Grayson Allen. Depth would be a selling point in pulling the trigger on this deal and with Ball maybe out of the picture for good, the Bulls will be looking to compensate for the loss.
This Bucks-Bulls trade may not be all that popular with either team’s fan base, but it would go far in addressing both teams’ needs. It’s worth considering.

How about NO! Signed the Bulls
#1 it’s from the really dumb fansided. You should check the writers from Chicago teams. And if they got that punk Grayson he’d be eaten alive.
