NBA news: According to reports, the Milwaukee Bucks emerged as one of the potential landing spots for Dillon Brooks. The Bucks reportedly showed interest in the former Memphis Grizzlies forward, who ultimately, signed a massive deal with the Houston Rockets that will see him pocket $80 million over the course of the next four years.
At this point, Bucks fans should be happy about the fact that they did not land Brooks, given how he has now been deemed as one of the “most overrated” players in the entire NBA.
NBA News: Dillon Brooks Not Worth His Weight in Gold

The Houston Rockets blew everyone out of the water with their massive offer for Brooks. Needless to say, they really, really wanted him in Houston, and they were willing to pay him with an insane amount of money to make sure that this was going to be the case.
Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report recently listed his Top 5 “most overrated” players in the league, and unsurprisingly, Brooks and his $80 million deal was on there:
“Brooks’ value comes entirely on defense, but his contributions on that end have rarely negated the damage he does offensively. Of the 65 players who attempted at least 900 shots last season, Brooks’ 49.4 true shooting percentage ranked dead last.
“There’s a strong case to be made that Brooks was the single most damaging offensive player in the league last season, and it’s not like he’s been much better in the past,” Hughes wrote.
I see no lies here. For their part, it seems like the Rockets see something in Dillon Brooks that we all don’t.
NBA News: Bucks Made the Right Call on Dillon Brooks

Did the Bucks make the right call in not making a run for Dillon Brooks in free agency? Well, you could make a case that he would have been a noteworthy contributor for the Bucks alongside their defensive stalwarts in Giannis Antetokunmpo, Jrue Holiday, and Brook Lopez. Not for $80 million, though.
In the first place, Milwaukee just doesn’t have that kind of money. That is unless they chose not to renew the deals of Lopez or Khris Middleton. Now if they did that in favor of Dillon Brooks, then surely, a lot of Bucks fans would be questioning their team’s decision-making this summer.
