In a massive development, two players that some tried to convince themselves would be good first for the Milwaukee Bucks have been traded. For each other. Bradley Beal and Chris Paul have both been trade, with several other players involved.
Shams Charania of The Athletic broke the news on Twitter:
BREAKING: The Washington Wizards are trading three-time All-Star Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns for Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, a handful of second-round picks, and multiple pick swaps, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

Beal is being sent by the Washington Wizards to the Phoenix Suns for Paul, Landry Shamet, and multiple second round picks. Charania also says multiple pick swaps are involved.
The Phoenix Suns Now Have an Intriguing Big Three

Bradley Beal will now join Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to form an imposing Big Three for the Phoenix Suns. The hope, of course, is that they are able to do what the Suns could not do with Paul: win a NBA Championship.
One has to be concerned, though, about the health history of this Big Three. Over the past two seasons, Beal has missed 74 games, Durant has missed 62 games, and Booker has missed 43 games.
Still, if the Suns can get to the NBA Playoffs with all three of them healthy, they will be difficult to stop.
What Does This Trade Mean for the Washington Wizards?

The Washington Wizards are almost certainly in rebuild mode, as usual. In Paul, they get a veteran point guard, one of the best to ever do it, to mentor their young players. One would imagine that the draft compensation, once it is fully revealed, will be quite nice.
What Does This Trade Mean for the Milwaukee Bucks?

As I have been saying for days now, the Bucks are not trading Khris Middleton or Jrue Holiday for another star player. This trade does nothing for them, really, but confirm what should have been obvious from the start: if the Bucks do make a trade, it will involve Bobby Portis, Grayson Allen, or Pat Connaughton and will be used to get them a late first round or early second round draft pick in this week’s NBA Draft.
