NBA news: In another outstanding feat for the greatest shooter of all time, Stephen Curry bagged the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament title on Sunday. This marks another glorious feat for the Golden State Warriors superstar, who now holds the esteemed honor of being the only active athlete to win the tournament since Tennessee Titans kicker Al Del Greco achieved the same feat more than two decades ago.
NBA News: LeBron James, Lakers Take Wild Stray From Stephen Curry After ACC Golf Win
It was an epic win for the Dubs guard, who incidentally, had to shoutout LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers during his blistering run in the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada:
What’s @StephenCurry30‘s secret to success at the @ACChampionship?
We’ll let him say it. 😂 pic.twitter.com/ErqcvwikaT— NBC Sports (@NBCSports) July 15, 2023
In case you forgot, it was LeBron and the Lakers who eliminated the Warriors in the second round of the playoffs this past season. Obviously, this has stuck with Curry, and unsurprisingly, it has lit the competitive fire inside him — even outside the basketball court.
Steph’s very impressive tournament win was not short in spectacle. His best moment was a mind-blowing hole-in-one that prompted an equally epic celebration from the two-time NBA MVP:

Curry bagged the championship with a 20-foot putt in the final hole to pass former tennis pro Mardy Fish for the victory:

I guess it’s safe to say that Stephen Curry is multi-sport talent.
NBA News: Stephen Curry’s History With Giannis Antetokounmpo
It wasn’t too long ago that Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo dubbed Curry the best player in the world. This was after the Warriors secured the 2022 NBA title — their fourth championship in the last eight years. While many consider Giannis as the top superstar in the league, the former back-to-back MVP was quick to deflect that title to “the last one standing:”
“I think the best player in the world is the person that’s the last one standing.”

Steph quickly caught wind of Antetokounmpo’s high praise, and while he was thankful for the same, the Warriors talisman made it abundantly clear that he’s still all business:
“I don’t know if it was gamesmanship,” Curry said (h/t Scott Polacek of Bleacher Report). “I would’ve said the same thing about the champions… I said the same thing about him last year. I appreciate the compliment. It’s not going to soften me at all.”
These two stars will go at it again on the basketball court at least two times this coming season. Surely, that’s a couple of games that are encircled on the calendars of more than a few basketball fans out there.
