From 2016-2019 the Milwaukee Brewers had veteran starting pitcher Chase Anderson in their starting rotation.  Since leaving the Brew Crew the 35 year old has made big league appearances with the Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, Tampa Bay Rays, and most recently the Colorado Rockies.

On Saturday night Chase Anderson took the hill against the Los Angeles Angels.  The final score of this game ended up being 25-1 with the Angels winnings.  A 13 run third inning and eight run fourth inning were the two big innings that put them over the 20 runs scored mark.

Throughout this Chase Anderson played a part of some rare history that was ironically last accomplished by himself in 2020.

Former Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Chase Anderson was a part of rare history in the Rockies vs Angeles game that was last accomplished by himself in 2020.

In 2020 Chase Anderson was pitching for the Toronto Blue Jays.  That was a wacky year for everyone, but in one particular game he gave up three consecutive home runs on just three pitches.  Brett Gardner, DJ LeMahieu, and Luke Voit were the three players that took him deep.

Against the Angels on Saturday night he again surrendered three home runs on just three pitches.  This time it was Mike Trout, Brandon Drury, and Matt Thaiss who hit the long balls.  In general it is quite rare for this to happen, but the fact that it has happened to Chase Anderson twice now is quite astonishing.
