The Milwaukee Bucks are gunning for their sixth consecutive win when they host the Washington Wizards on Saturday night at Fiserv Forum.
Since a narrow 115-114 loss against the Charlotte Hornets a few days ago, the Milwaukee Bucks have beaten the Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Hornets, and the Miami Heat. Besides their strong form, Milwaukee is favored to defeat Washington because the visitors will miss one of their key players.
Kyle Kuzma becomes the latest injury casualty for the Washington Wizards, as he is expected to miss at least two games (starting against the Milwaukee Bucks) after sustaining a rib injury against the Los Angeles Clippers last Wednesday. In the 121-96 defeat, the one-time NBA champion only played eight minutes and finished with two rebounds and one assist.
Kyle Kuzma is one of the team’s top scorers this season, averaging 15.8 points per game on 42.0 percent shooting from the field. The 29-year-old also averages 5.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists this year.
Kyshawn George, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and Corey Kispert will receive more playing time with Kyle Kuzma out.
Milwaukee Bucks get good news from the injury front
Giannis Antetokounmpo did not play against the Miami Heat due to a knee injury, but he is expected to play against the Washington Wizards tomorrow, given his probable tag.
MarJon Beauchamp, dealing with a hamstring knock, also received a probable tag from the injury report. However, he isn’t expected to play big minutes either way.
Khris Middleton has yet to make his season debut due to an ankle injury, but Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said he hopes to have him back in the lineup soon.
