The Milwaukee Bucks look to be a serious NBA Finals contender so far this season in the Eastern Conference. Entering tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers, they are the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference behind the Boston Celtics. At this point in time, the team has shown no signs of slowing down.

Many believe that the Bucks could become major buyers ahead of the NBA trade deadline. After making the blockbuster offseason trade for Damian Lillard, Milwaukee has gone all-in on competing for another title.

Looking ahead to the 2023-24 NBA trade deadline, there are a few intriguing targets the Bucks could target. One in particular has started gaining some traction as a potential fit.

Milwaukee Bucks Urged To Pursue Major Trade With Golden State Warriors

Dalton Sell of FanSided recently wrote an article about why the Bucks should pursue a trade with the Warriors. The player that he believes Milwaukee should pursue? Andrew Wiggins.

“Wiggins’ defense would help the Bucks tremendously this season, giving them a perimeter defender who’s not afraid to take on the toughest assignments, but he’s also no slouch on offense. Over the previous three years, Wiggins averaged 17.7 points while shooting 47.2 percent from the floor and 38.9 percent from deep. He’d make Milwaukee’s offense even stronger moving forward.”

Andrew Wiggins would certainly be the kind of piece that the Bucks are missing. He would provide Milwaukee with great defensive ability and an offensive game that has been very underrated.

So far during the 2023-24 NBA season with the Warriors, Wiggins has played in 28 games and started in 21 of those appearances. He has averaged 12.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. Those numbers would slide in nicely alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lillard for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Most of their trade interest will depend on price tag. After the Lillard trade, the Bucks are stretched a bit thin on trade assets. Thankfully, the Warriors wanting to get rid of Wiggins’ contract could help make the trade less pricy.

There is no guarantee that the Milwaukee Bucks will have any level of interest in Wiggins. However, he could be a very intriguing fit on the trade market.
