After a magnificent debut for the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers, Damian Lillard came crashing down on Sunday with a totally forgettable performance in Milwaukee’s 127-110 blowout loss against the Atlanta Hawks.
Now that he’s fallen back down to earth, the keyboard warriors wasted no time trolling the seven-time All-NBA point guard.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Falters Vs. Haws
You could say that Dame’s performance on Sunday was the complete opposite of what he showed us in his Bucks debut against the Sixers. Lillard just couldn’t find his shot on Sunday and he finished with just six points on 2-of-12 from the field, including 2-of-8 from rainbow territory.
The seven-time All-Star was able to collect four rebounds and dish out five dimes, but he committed no less than six turnovers against Trae Young and Co. That’s a stark contrast from his zero-turnover outing against Philadelphia in the season opener.
Giannis Antetokounmpo did all he could for Milwaukee, with the former back-to-back MVP logging a 26-point, 11-rebound double-double, with three assists, a steal, and two blocks. However, without much support, Giannis just couldn’t do it all on his own.
Damian Lillard Trolled on Twitter
Unsurprisingly, it was Lillard who drew the ire of the fans. They did not hold back in criticizing the new Bucks superstar for falling flat on his face against the Hawks:

As you may have noticed, Dame Lillard has more than a few haters out there. This is pretty much going to be the norm for him now that he’s teamed up with Giannis in Milwaukee. He’s going to be living under the microscope from here on out.
