The Milwaukee Bucks, who were defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night with a score of 135-95 have an opportunity at redemption as they travel to Detroit to take on the Pistons. Detroit is 4-37 on the season and Milwaukee could retain their MVP candidate on Saturday night.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Listed as Probable for Saturday’s Game vs the Detroit Pistons
After missing Wednesday’s contest versus the Cavaliers with a right shoulder contusion, Giannis Antetokounmpo is trending towards suiting up and is listed as probable for Saturday’s game versus Detroit. Milwaukee never gained a rhythm versus Cleveland and ended up losing by 40 points. So, getting Antetokounmpo back in the lineup will only boost this Bucks team in the right direction.
Giannis in January:
27 PTS – 10 REB – 10 AST -56% FG
33 PTS – 9 REB – 5 AST -59% FG
24 PTS – 12 REB – 6 AST -77% FG
25 PTS – 10 REB – 11 AST-50% FG
48 PTS – 17 REB – 2 AST -64% FG
44 PTS – 14 REB – 7 AST -68% FG
26 PTS – 11 REB – 8 AST -62% FG
30 PTS – 18 REB – 11 AST -55% FG pic.twitter.com/vH58WT4hGZ— The Lead (@TheLeadSM) January 15, 2024
In December, Antetokounmpo represented the Eastern Conference as player of the month and his dominance has not stopped in January. He is averaging 31.2 points, 11.4 rebounds and just under 6 assists per game on the season with 30 double doubles. Antetokounmpo’s performance so far will need to carry over to Saturday night in order to get back on track.
Pistons PG Cade Cunningham Has Been Ruled Out for Saturday vs the Milwaukee Bucks
After suffering a knee strain in a loss to the Dever Nuggets on January 7th, Cade Cunningham has been on the sidelines recovering. While he has been ruled out for Saturday’s game versus Milwaukee, the Pistons announced that Cunningham is cleared for basketball activities and his timeline to return is between 5-7 days.
Other injury designations for Detroit include Isaiah Stewart, who has been ruled out for Saturday versus the Bucks with an ankle injury.
