Just before the NBA trade deadline expired, the Milwaukee Bucks made a move by acquiring Patrick Beverley from the Philadelphia 76ers. From there, the loud-mouthed point guard immediately made his presence felt for the team.
Over the course of Beverley’s career in the NBA, the point guard has averaged 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He has played for various teams, such as the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Chicago Bulls, among others.
Before he came over to Milwaukee, Beverley played 47 games for the 76ers. During that stretch this season, he posted averages of 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.
Although Beverley’s numbers don’t necessarily pop out, it’s his grit on defense and being vocal on accountability that will help elevate the Bucks. Add the fact that he’s back under Doc Rivers once again, and he might be what Milwaukee needs to finish the regular season strong.
Patrick Beverley Reveals How He Picked His Jersey Number For The Milwaukee Bucks
Right before he came over, Beverley was wearing 22 as his jersey number. Now, the reserve point guard is using 21, just like his time playing for the Clippers. He shares how that change came to be in a video of his podcast posted on X:

Since Jrue Holiday is now playing for the Boston Celtics, the Bucks’ toughest opponent in the Eastern Conference, there’s no reason for the number 21 to be withheld from Beverley. Rightfully so, because it looks like the gritty point guard is going to own that number as he does his best to help Milwaukee get a higher seed in the standings.
There are still a couple of months left in the regular season and the All-Star break before that. Keep an eye on Beverley to see whether he rises to the occasion for the Bucks or not.
