The Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers have had a massive rivalry throughout the 2023-24 NBA season thus far. Unfortunately, the Bucks have come out on the losing side of the rivalry. They have lost four out of the five matchups that the teams played against each other.
On Monday night against the Boston Celtics, Pacers’ superstar guard Tyrese Haliburton suffered a scary injury. When driving the lane, his foot slipped out from under him and he did the splits. Haliburton immediately started grabbing for his hamstring and had to be literally carried off the floor by his teammates.
All eyes were watching X, formerly known as Twitter, for an update on Haliburton today.
Milwaukee Bucks Rival Pacers Get Massive Tyrese Haliburton Injury Update
An update finally came, thanks to a report from ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski. The Pacers got the best news that they could have possibly hoped to receive.
Haliburton only suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain in the scary slip. That injury will be re-evaluated in two weeks by Indiana, although he could miss up to four weeks potentially. Either way, it’s not the feared season-ending injury that fans were bracing themselves to hear.

Indiana has been one of the biggest surprises of the 2023-24 NBA season thus far. They made a run to the In-Season Tournament championship, where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. Haliburton has also been a legitimate MVP candidate so far this season.
Throughout his first 33 games of the season, Tyrese Haliburton has averaged 23.6 points per game to go along with 12.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. He has shot 49.7 percent from the floor overall and has knocked down 40.3 percent of his three-point attempts.
There is no question that Haliburton is one of the top rising superstars in the NBA. While the Milwaukee Bucks hate playing him, this is great news for the NBA and the Pacers especially.
