The Milwaukee Bucks are set to kick off their season at home against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday. This’ll be the first game of what could potentially be a championship run, and fans are going to want to tune in to this season.
The Milwaukee Bucks are one of the “most watchable” teams in the NBA this season.
A new report from BR (Bleacher Report) has recently listed the Milwaukee Bucks as a must-see TV team this season.
The Bucks have Giannis Antetokounmpo and superstar Damian Lillard taking the court together. Though they have yet to play a regular season game, many have dubbed Giannis and Dame the best duo in the NBA, going as far as comparing them to some of the greatest duos of all time.
Together, these two are going to be a lethal duo on the court to try and breeze past:
“Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are the best duo in the NBA, with their continued chemistry only adding to their watchability with the Bucks this season.
“After a three-year hiatus from his MVP awards and a two-year break from winning an NBA title, Antetokounmpo should be more motivated than ever to prove himself as the league’s best player this season, destroying anyone and anything in his path.”
Sitting behind the Phoenix Suns in ranking, the Milwaukee Bucks were ranked second in Most-Watchable in this report. Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report compared the two to Tokyo and Godzilla:
“Giving Antetokounmpo the most spacing he’s ever received with Lillard now on the team is like giving Godzilla a jet pack and setting him loose on Tokyo. Teams are going to have to double Antetokounmpo in the paint, meaning we’re going to see a lot of open threes rain down from Lillard, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton and others.”
New Environment for Damian Lillard
This is the first time in Damian Lillard’s career that he is playing somewhere that’s not named Portland. Lillard spent his entire NBA career with the Portland Trail Blazers until being traded to Milwaukee in September.
Lillard has said that while he wasn’t expecting the trade to Milwaukee, he thinks this is exactly where he’s supposed to be if he wants to win a championship title. The Trail Blazers never won a title, they had made playoff appearances, but never one to garner a ring.
“My agent called me he said ‘[Trail Blazers] traded you to [the Bucks]’… My first thought was like everything I was leaving behind… This is where I’m supposed to be right here. It’s time to win.”

With Giannis recently signing his three-year, $186M contract extension, this has only added fuel to the fire that’s burning up with the team. Bringing in Dame is what Milwaukee needed, it’s what Giannis needed in order to stay motivated to getting his second career championship.
They’ve both made it clear that they want one another to just be themselves and be the best versions of themselves, and it’ll be fun to watch a player like Lillard who’s got flair and can make it rain threes, and a player like Giannis who can dunk like no other, together on the court.
