For the past few months, NBA fans have speculated where All-Star forward Paul George will end up after reportedly receiving a lower offer than Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard. Among the rumored teams for the former Indiana Pacers wing are the Golden State Warriors, which prompted Milwaukee Bucks’ Patrick Beverley to react to this possible development.
George played high school basketball at Knight High School before attending Fresno State for two seasons. He was selected 10th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2010 NBA Draft and earned All-Rookie Second Team honors. He had a breakout season in 2013, winning the Most Improved Player award and making his first All-Star team.
In 2014, the forward suffered a gruesome leg injury while competing for Team USA, causing him to miss most of the 2014-15 season. He recovered to become an All-Star again in 2016, the same year he won an Olympic gold medal. He was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017 and spent two seasons there before being dealt to the Clippers in 2019.
Throughout his career, George has established himself as one of the league’s premier two-way players, known for his scoring prowess and defensive versatility. He continues to be a key contributor for the Clippers as they look to contend for an NBA championship.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Patrick Beverley Responds To Rumors of Paul George Going to the Golden State Warriors
After being rumored to the Philadelphia 76ers for quite some time, George is now being linked to the Warriors ahead of the 2024-25 season. Among those who gave their take on the matter is Milwaukee Bucks veteran guard Patrick Beverley in a post he shared on X.
“Boi if PG go to “The Warriors” that would be so tough @PatBevPod,” Beverley tweeted.
Over the course of 74 games last season, George averaged 22.6 points on 41 percent shooting from deep, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per contest. The possibility of pairing up with All-Star guard Stephen Curry will elevate the Dubs back to contention if the trade becomes a reality.
It remains to be seen whether George will make his way to the Bay, gets traded to another team, or stays in Los Angeles. Nevertheless, Beverley will be keeping a close eye on where the All-Star wing will end up.
