There are some NBA stars that immediately make fans feel good and there are some that just ooze with negativity. Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, in particular, is somewhere in the middle after an online poll reveal which players have good vibes among fans.
Antetokounmpo first entered the NBA as the Bucks’ 15th pick in the 2013 Draft. Right from the start, the lanky teenager was seen as a raw prospect that needed a lot of work to be done on the court. This can be seen in how he performed in his first year in the league with averages of 6.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
From there, the Greek Freak slowly became one of the league’s most talented stars. In 2017, his effort was validated when the league bestowed him with that year’s Most Improved Player award. As compared to his rookie campaign, Antetokounmpo raised his performance to 22.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game.
After that season, the Bucks’ All-Star forward won a pair of MVP awards in 2019 and 2020 for putting up incredible numbers while leading Milwaukee to finish strong in both of those regular seasons. He would eventually become an NBA champion in 2021 when they defeated Chris Paul and the Suns in 2021.
Online Poll Reveals Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s True Vibes Amongst Fans
Antetokounmpo’s humble beginnings and how he rose to the top made him more endearing to fans. The thing is, he isn’t the best player in the NBA when it comes to spreading good vibes. In a poll posted by Nate Silver on X:
Durant has the 3rd worst vibes out of any player in the Twitter poll I conducted. Nearly in Karl Malone territory. Not good. pic.twitter.com/t4ZrIaKujc

Sitting on top of that list is the Boston Celtics’ Bill Russell with a vibe score of 88.5 and Shaquille O’Neal following him closely in second place with 84.9. Karl Malone is right at the bottom with 30.4 points, which means the Utah Jazz legend isn’t that well-liked by fans.
For his part, Antetokounmpo ranked 15th among the 27 names on the list with a score of 74.3. This puts him in the lower half of the poll, but above key names like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Kevin Garnett, among others.
Although he didn’t rank high in that poll, Antetokounmpo still enjoys a huge following for everything he as done in his NBA career. Add the Greek Freak’s charitable work outside the court, and there’s more reason for him to be well-liked by fans.
