Milwaukee Bucks fans are having tons of fun after Damian Lillard fueled the team to a Game 1 victory over the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Playoffs. In fact, the Cream City faithful is so ecstatic that they even thanked rapper GloRilla for her contributions.
But what exactly did GloRilla do to help the Bucks?
GloRilla’s Link With Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard
GloRilla was trending in Bucks circles prior to the game after she showed her “GloLillard” jersey, partly in support of the Bucks star and partly as a response to Dame’s estrange wife who gave her the nickname recently.
For those who missed it, Lillard’s ex-wife Kay’La Lillard gave GloRilla the nickname when she poked fun at her recent DUI arrest. Apparently, the 24-year-old rapper was arrested in Georgia for making a U-turn at a red light, per Complex.
GloRilla has been often mentioned with Lillard because the artist admitted that she has a crush on him after meeting the guard during the February All-Star festivities.
Now, with GloRilla showing her support and constant interest in Lillard, fans poked fun at the situation and claimed that the Memphis-born musician inspired Dame Time to get back to his old and dominant self.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans Thank GloRilla for Damian Lillard’s Big Game
Damian Lillard had a monster game for the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of their NBA Playoffs series against the Indiana Pacers, exploding for 35 points on top of six rebounds and three assists.
Lillard actually scored all of those points in the first half, with the Pacers double and triple-teaming him in the second half to limit and slow down his production. Still, his hot start gave the Bucks a 27-point lead that they never relinquished for the eventual 109-94 win.
Without Lillard’s big game, the Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Bucks would have likely lost. But with that being said, the ecstatic Bucks faithful couldn’t help but celebrate GloRilla as well.
“Where were you when GloRilla saved the Bucks season,” one fan hilariously asked. Another said, “Glorilla might’ve brought Dame back to life man wow.”
“I’m crying. Dame got GloRilla and dropped 40 inna half,” a supporter shared. A fourth commenter said, “Glorilla at the game, no wonder.”

It’s a fun day to be a Bucks fan, indeed. Sure enough, Milwaukee fans would want to see GloRilla again for Game 2. Perhaps the team can even give her a special seat in their road trip in Games 4 and 5. After all, if the effect is real, we might see another Dame Time explosion.
