Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard WENT OFF on Sunday night with a mind-blowing performance in their Game 1 victory over the Indiana Pacers. With Giannis Antetokounmpo out of commission, everyone knew that Lillard would have to step up in a major way.
Boy, did he answer the call.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Damian Lillard Drops Savage Quote Amid Blistering First-Half Run

Dame had his foot on the gas from the opening tip, and he just didn’t let up. By halftime, he was already up to 35 points. He had nearly outscored the entire Pacers squad in the opening 24 minutes as Indiana put up a measly 42 points at the break.
As expected, Lillard was fired up as he torched the Pacers in the opening half. So much so, that he just had to bust out a savage mic-drop quote right in the middle of his scorching run:
"This is what ya'll brought me here for." pic.twitter.com/JgjmxzbJeP
— Milwaukee Bucks (@Bucks) April 22, 2024
Dame was addressing the equally hyped-up Bucks fans when he uttered his eight-word message. That straight-up feels like a bar from one of Dame D.O.L.L.A.’s rap hits, and it comes as no surprise that the quote has since gone completely viral.

You have to give credit to Indiana, though, for switching it up after the break. They impressively held Lillard scoreless in the second half, which resulted in the eight-time All-Star finishing with 35 points on 11-of-24 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, three assists, and six triples on the evening.
Despite their commendable second-half effort on Dame, however, the Pacers were still unable to close the gap. They will need to be much better than this in Game 2 on Tuesday.
