To say that New York Knicks star Julius Randle came out firing against the Milwaukee Bucks in Tuesday’s In-Season Tournament quarterfinal would be a massive understatement at this point. The two-time All-Star caught fire in the first half in an amazing performance as he gave the Knicks a fighting chance against a powerhouse Milwaukee side in this winner-take-all showdown.

Randle was literally perfect in the opening half, going 9-of-9 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free-throw line for a game-high 25 points. He also added three rebounds, four assists, and a three-pointer in 20 minutes of action.

Randle’s eye-opening display had NBA Twitter buzzing hard:

Randle also bodied Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo at one point in the first quarter, which drew a lot of excited reactions on social media as well. Moreover, Giannis had to exit the game in the second quarter with three fouls as he struggled to contain Randle in the opening half.

The good news for Milwaukee is that despite Randle’s massive performance, they still entered the break with a 75-72 lead. This was thanks in large part to Giannis (16 points on 7-of-9 shooting) and Damian Lillard (19 points, four triples) leading the way for the Bucks.

It’s been an amazing back-and-forth contest thus far, which only sets the stage for what should be an even more captivating second half of action.
