Jrue Holiday is a consummate professional. The 33-year-old has had nothing but good things to say about the Milwaukee Bucks ever since the team shipped him off as part of the Damian Lillard blockbuster trade.
As it turns out, however, there’s much more to this shocking turn of events than what’s on the surface.
Lauren Holiday Drops Truth Bomb on Husband’s Milwaukee Bucks Exit
On Wednesday, Holiday’s wife, Lauren Holiday, took to Instagram to drop a lengthy statement about her husband’s trade. As it turns out, they never saw it coming:

Lauren revealed that the Bucks did not give Jrue the courtesy of letting him know about the trade until after it was done. Given his stature with the team, you would have thought that the front office would have at least let Holiday know that a trade was on the horizon. According to Lauren, this never happened.
You have to note, however, that this is also just one side of the story. Heartbreaking as it may be, this is Lauren’s view of how things went down. For all we know, the Bucks might have a totally different account. Be that as it may, you simply cannot invalidate the emotions Lauren and her family have had to go through over the past few days.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans React
Unsurprisingly, Lauren’s post has completely blown up. It was a shocking revelation, to say the least, and it has garnered all sorts of reactions on the mean streets of Twitter.
For the most part, the fans are taking the Holidays’ side here:
Lauren Holiday aint lying at all.. Milwaukee did them dirty.. which is why I say Giannis Wake up n go to the Knicks next season and bring your brothers with u

You feel for the kids. How can you not? Kids have stresses even in a comfortable environment.
The Holidays seem like excellent humans.

You’d think these front offices would at least have a conversation. 🤔

Milwaukee for sure did them dirty.

On the other hand, more than a few fans reiterated the notion that the NBA is a business. This is exactly what Lauren was complaining about, but the keyboard warriors were quick to remind her about the amount of money her husband is making with his job:
The rough side of the business. But at least he landed in a good situation.

I don’t see the point in the team saying “hey we might trade you.” Just makes it awkward if they don’t
— GOAT James👑🐐 (@BronToAD) October 5, 2023
lol 😂 it’s a Job keep it pushing they have Dame who’s better keep it moving
— Orion (@CryptoOrion) October 5, 2023
This is obviously a polarizing situation wherein both sides have valid arguments. Either way, it’s time for both the Holidays and the Bucks to move on.
