There was so much hype surrounding Jrue Holiday’s return to the Fiserv Forum in his first game back since leaving the Milwaukee Bucks last summer. The two-time All-Star said on Wednesday that he is confident his Boston Celtics are going to beat the Bucks in their Eastern Conference showdown.
In a classy gesture that proves just how much love he has for his former team, Holiday also took out an ad in the local paper to send an endearing message to the fans right before his first time back in his former stomping ground.
Milwaukee Bucks Pay Tribute to Jrue Holiday
You just know that Bucks fans were eagerly anticipating the return of their former star guard. True enough, the supporters gave Holiday a standing ovation as soon as he was introduced as part of Boston’s starting five:

Later in the game, the Bucks honored Holiday with an emotional tribute video that was shown on the stadium’s jumbotron. It was an undeniably touching moment all around:

Naturally, the fans gave Holiday a standing ovation again after the video ended. For his part, the 33-year-old acknowledged the gesture by waving to the capacity crowd.
It was a fitting tribute to a man who did so much for the organization during his time in Milwaukee.
