Despite the fact that he spent just three years with the Milwaukee Bucks, there’s no denying that Jrue Holiday was able to firmly establish himself as a fan favorite among the Milwaukee faithful. This is exactly why the fans will miss him now that he’s taken his talents elsewhere.
Did Jrue Holiday Throw Shade at Milwaukee Bucks Fans?
Now that he’s with the Boston Celtics, Holiday is ready to move on. He now faces the prospect of being cheered on by one of the most passionate fans in the NBA.
In his recent media availability session, Holiday shared his brutally honest thoughts on Celtics nation:
“They’re a bit crazy. Not gonna lie to you, they get rowdy. They get in your face,” he said. “Definitely one of the best Sixth Men in the league, if not the best. I love the aggression, I love the environment. I think they care more about hard work on defense and getting loose balls and stuff like that over maybe windmill dunks and things of that nature.
“That’s the type of guy I am. … The fans are literally insane and I’m proud to be a part of that coming in this year.”

Did Holiday just throw a bit of shade on Bucks supporters by stating that the Celtics have arguably the best fanbase in the entire league? The jab did not seem intentional, but it definitely speaks volumes of what the two-time All-Star thinks about his new team and their supporters.
There’s nothing but love between Holiday and Bucks fans, though. In fact, Jrue penned an emotional farewell letter dedicated to the supporters as soon as his move away from Milwaukee was made official. You can also be sure that the fans will welcome him back with open arms when he returns to the Fiserv Forum with the Celtics this coming season.
Jrue Holiday Has Sights Set on Championship
The time for drama is over, though. being the true professional that he is, Holiday is now focused on one thing for Boston:
“I feel like coming here is definitely my best chance of winning and being able to help the guys here that have made big moves and done big things in this league,” said Holiday. “I’m here to just help step up that game and become a champion.”
"I feel like coming here is definitely my best chance of winning."

He’s already done it in Milwaukee a couple of years ago, and Holiday is now hoping to be a two-time NBA champion now that he’s with the Celtics. Boston has been to the NBA Finals three times in the last seven seasons, but they’ve always fallen short at the very end. Could Holiday be the X-factor that finally gets them over the hump?
