The Milwaukee Bucks will be hosting their annual Hoops for Troops Night on Wednesday when they battle the Detroit Pistons at the Fiserv Forum. It’s an opportunity for the organization and the fans to honor the great men and women in uniform who so valiantly defend this country with their lives.
A few service members dropped in on Milwaukee’s recent practice to share their collective experiences as Bucks supporters. For Giannis Antetokounmpo, this presented itself as an opportunity to savagely mock one of the franchise’s most iconic players.
Giannis Trolls Milwaukee Bucks Legend Vin Baker
One of the service members in attendance shared how long he’s supported the Bucks. He said that he’s been a huge fan of Milwaukee his whole life. The Air Force personnel then revealed that he’s been following the team since four-time All-Star turned assistant coach Vin Baker was around.
Antetokounmpo was standing right behind Baker when the latter’s name was mentioned, and so Giannis just could not resist but throw a hilarious jab at his coach:
“Damn, he’s old,” Antetokounmpo said.
Giannis couldn't resist. 😂

Giannis is one of the funniest dudes in the NBA and he just couldn’t let the opportunity pass. I mean, Baker was right in front of him. Antetokounmpo would have probably regretted it dearly if he hadn’t taken the shot that was pretty much laid out for him on a silver platter.
To be fair, though, Vin Baker is not that old. At 51, the former two-time All-NBA big man has been retired from the game since 2006.
After being selected as the Bucks’ No. 8 overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft, Baker spent the first four seasons of his career in Milwaukee before he was traded to the Seattle SuperSonics in 1997 as part of the blockbuster Shawn Kemp three-team deal.
It was in Milwaukee, however, that Baker cut his teeth, so to speak, earning three out of his four All-Star nods while with the Bucks.
