The Milwaukee Bucks have a big five-game road trip coming up starting with Monday’s showdown against defending champions Denver Nuggets. They then face off against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday in Damian Lillard’s first game back since his summer departure.
It’s Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks up next on Saturday, followed by the Utah Jazz the following night. Finally, they battle the Phoenix Suns on February 6 in a rematch of the 2021 NBA Finals.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard Speak Out on Milwaukee Bucks’ Road Stand
While it’s going to be a demanding set of games for the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is very much looking forward to the opportunity to test their mettle out in the West:
“I can’t wait,” Giannis said. “We have a very tough road trip coming up ahead of us. I think it’s five games. I’m not sure. Great teams. All five teams are great.”
For his part, Damian Lillard knows that it’s going to be a tough matchup on Monday against Nikola Jokic and Co. However, Dame is also adamant that a win against the champs could jump-start what could be a crucial stretch for Milwaukee:
“Playing against the defending champions, starting off a road trip,” Lillard said. “But I think in a way, it could be a positive thing. It could pump some life into us and be the start of something special. So I think that’s how we gotta look at it.”
