When Giannis Antetokounmpo threatened to leave the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this summer, more than a few people believed that this was actually going to happen in the near future. Giannis had even the most prominent pundits and analysts going, which incidentally, included ESPN’s NBA guru Brian Windhorst.
Brian Windhorst Predicted Giannis’ Milwaukee Bucks Exit
When it comes to NBA insiders, Windhorst stands out as one of the most reliable ones out there. However, this doesn’t mean that he’s 100% accurate with his predictions.
Earlier this summer, the ESPN broadcaster came out to say that he believes it’s “unlikely that Giannis extends his contract this summer.”

While Windy did have a point when he presented his argument back in April, it is clear that he has now been forced to eat his words after Giannis did the exact opposite of what Windhorst predicted.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans Troll Windhorst
As we all know, the internet always keeps its receipts. Windhorst’s fearless forecast on Antetokounmpo was no exception.
As soon as news broke about Giannis’ new deal with the Bucks, the fans just had to remind Windy about his previous statement — and they weren’t very nice about it, either:

To add fuel to the fire, Windhorst decided to double down on his previous claim by saying that he believes Giannis decision was “questionable” and that Anteotkuonmpo “didn’t have to do this.” This only prompted more savagery from the fans:
The only people who are puzzled are journalists and hacks like Windhorst who are too lazy to do their research and realize that Giannis loves Milwaukee
No one in Milwaukee is shocked by this news. Excited, yes.

This is classic Windhorst: swear for months that something is not going to happen, allude to some privileged information you've been given, because you're a Very Special Boy, and when you're wrong tell Giannis how silly and careless he's being. https://t.co/39kSJOBZPB

Windhorst is such a fucking clown. He’s so salty Giannis wants to stay in Milwaukee and that he was wrong about him leaving. It’s comical he’s trying to flip this. https://t.co/A3pgbEsa20

Sorry, Windy, but you can’t be right all the time.
